TransFALLmation 10/13/25 Day Adventure

Arts Programming 8:45am-5pm for kids aged 6-11 years old

90 US dollars
South 4th Avenue

What are we exploring?

Today we celebrate Fall's Transformative Power! Celebrate Autumn as a season of change—of shedding, shifting, and discovering new layers. Think: leaf-inspired art, flowing and falling movement, and stories of transformation both magical and emotional. This theme honors the beauty of endings that make room for growth. "Light Within': We will design and create mini lanterns, exploring color by layering different shades of streamers on top of one another. "Let It Fall Dance": Movement session inspired by falling leaves, swirling winds, and trees letting go. Explore dropping weight, releasing tension, and transforming shapes in space. "Leaf Me a Story": Campers choose or create a character (animal, human, or magical being) who is going through change. Act out stories of turning points—letting go, facing the unknown, or transforming into something new. "Cocoon to Color" Puppets: Design puppets that represent a before-and-after version of a character or feeling—such as a caterpillar and butterfly, bare tree and golden one, or shy creature and bold adventurer. Arts Assembly provides a creative and active space for kids to explore the arts on days that A2 public schools are out. Kids spend the day playfully exploring movement, theater, music and the visual arts. We love collaborative exploration, problem solving, and innovative solutions inspired by creativity. Led by U-M Professors in the Performing Arts, local teachers and artists, Arts Assembly is your downtown arts resource for the whole family.
