THE ARTS LIVE IN ANN ARBOR

ARTS ASSEMBLY A2 is a vibrant center for artistic exploration, community connection, and creative development. It offers a welcoming space for young people to engage deeply with the arts in a supportive and enriching environment, while also serving as a valuable resource for families when Ann Arbor Public Schools are out of session. As a collaborative home for experienced educators and local artists, ARTS ASSEMBLY A2 is rooted in a shared commitment to meaningful, process-based arts education. It also serves as the creative headquarters for the internationally recognized nonprofit VIM VIGOR DANCE COMPANY, providing space for rehearsal, research, and the sharing of powerful live performance.

At the core of our mission is a year-round arts engagement platform that supports the creative ecosystem of Southeast Michigan. Through youth-centered camps, movement and theater-based classes, interdisciplinary workshops, and artist-led programming, we aim to harness the transformative power of the arts to spark imagination, deepen understanding, and foster meaningful human connection. With a strong emphasis on intergenerational exchange and inclusive access, ARTS ASSEMBLY A2 is a place where artists of all ages and backgrounds come together to learn, evolve, and create—cultivating a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking artistic community.
