Contemporary Modern, Floorwork, Partnering, Improvisation, Solo Creations, and Mentorship.

Supports young artists interested in building movement vocabulary that moves into and out of the ground, muscle memory, and quality of action, through playful exploration of contemporary modern and floorwork forms. Intended to boost confidence, curiosity and joy.

Performance Projects offer interested young artists the opportunity to co-create a dance theater performance. Participants will expand their movement vocabulary, build choreographic memory, explore character and acting, build trust in an ensemble, and experience the joy of performing. Our projects are led by U-M Professors in Dance and Theater and local artists with extensive backgrounds in the Arts. Our aim is to boost confidence, curiosity and joy in young artists in a creative, safe, and supportive environment.
